The photo here was taken on a vacation a few years ago. The home belonged to Andrew Jackson. I chose this photo because it had the fall colors which I thought would be interesting to work with on this assignment.
For my pattern tile, I used the grainy pattern modified using the effects of antique mosaic. The gradient tile was made with the dark and medium colors of my color swatch. With more flexibility, I would have had the gradient "ribbon" around my photo also. I think it would have allowed it to stand out a little more.
The dividers were made with some cut and paste work,in addition to the pixel by pixel spray to make the rough images of the leaves. The final portion of the assignment were the buttons. I wanted my buttons to be very basic while using the colors on the page.
