50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

My parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary a couple of years ago.The State Representative presented them with a proclamation for the event.

This is our family photo at the party. The pattern used on this page and the next was made from the fabric from my mother's dress. The logical person to make my mother's dress would have been my sister. My sister is great at sewing; me, not so much, if at all. My mother had me make her dress. It must have been her way to make sure I complete at least one sewing project during my lifetime. I made it then remade it 4 more times to get it right. I made the corsages and planned the day. The joy in her eyes was worth each second.
